Jennings Community Spotlight
Charlinda Evans is a Social Studies teacher at Jennings County High School, Department Chair of Social Studies at JCHS, and the President of the Board and Founding member of the non-profit organization Perceptions Yoga, Mindfulness & Art.
Charlinda is a strong advocate for self-care, "Self-care is not selfish...To take care of others and to be the best person you can be, you really have to focus some on yourself and incorporate some form of self-care into your daily activities."
She also emphasizes the importance of both mental and physical health, "You get out of your body what you put into it, whether that's thoughts or food or water or the amount of sleep. It just makes sense. And we see a lot people that are expecting good output without making the connection between the input...Your mental and physical health go hand in hand."For more information about Charlinda and Perceptions, visit our ►Aerobic Fitness activities page.
